Designated Tech Hubs
The U.S. Department of Commerce’s Economic Development Administration (EDA) has named the Central Illinois Fermentation and Agriculture Biomanufacturing Hub (iFAB) a designated Tech Hub. The iFAB Hub is just one of two hubs awarded to Illinois and 31 nationally and the only one of its kind. This initiative encompasses Champaign-Urbana and Decatur MSAs, which include Champaign, Piatt, and Macon counties, as designated Tech Hubs.
